چکیده
Objectives: This study aimed to examine the effect of ethanolic extract local Basra henna leaves on Gram-positive bacteria species. Also, assess antibacterial properties crude in vitro and compare them with antibiotics. Methods: In this study, Lawsonia inermis (henna) were extracted ethanol using solvent extraction technique. The pathogens isolated from wound samples obtained hospitalized patients two different hospitals Duhok city. culture thirty isolates had been recognized by routine methods. Different concentrations acquired bio-assayed inhibit growth five human pathogenic bacteria. Agar well diffusion assay was used for achieving antibiotic activity. Moreover, an antibiotics susceptibility test done disk method Muller-Hinton agar medium. Results: all tested suppressed various degrees increasing concentration extract. data has revealed that Staphylococcus aureus more sensitive than other examined isolates, where diameter zone inhibition ranging 16-27, 14-25, 8-18 mm epidermidis, Lactobacillus spp. Streptococcus pneumonia respectively. antimicrobial activity indicates it is suitable being as significant certain medications. Consequently, active serve anti-bacterial agent against multi-drug resistant Conclusion:
